We are seeking an Release Train Engineer to join our DXC Consulting family. DXC Consulting guides organisations on their digital transformation. Baseline Clearance will be preferred, failing that have the ability to obtain one for this role.
About your role:
As a Release Train Engineer you will assure end-to-end value delivery for scaled agile programs. You will act as coach and servant leader for Agile programs and teams, maturing their practices while continuously delivering value.
Central to this role is your ability to lead, influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in complex and challenging environments. You will be expected to proactively identify and resolve impediments for teams and programs, and support programs to complete their path to production.
With an extensive background in modelling Agile principles, implementing scaled Agile frameworks, Lean, Design Thinking and Human Centred Design, you will help our clients to:
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the program, to beta testing and production environments
Establish and communicate scaled Agile events, ensure they are understood and engaged with
Facilitate program planning readiness and program planning
Create transparency into the delivery process
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
Help manage risks and dependencies
Escalate and track impediments
Identify delivery bottle necks and contribute to their resolution
Encourage collaboration between teams, the program and the department
Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with Systems Thinking and DevOps practices
Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle
Facilitate effective System Demos enabling valuable feedback and transparency into delivery progress
Drive continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops
Support the program to achieve contractual milestones through scaled Agile frameworks
Support the program and PMO to understand reporting capabilities of scaled Agile frameworks
We are looking to speak with applicants who have previously worked as a Release Train Engineer or Delivery Manager for a scaled Agile program, or to have had delivery responsibilities as an Agile Coach supporting a scaled approach.
