We are in urgent need of a Security Architect to join our Cyber team in Canberra. This role will see you working closely with a large federal client of DXC’s both onsite and out of DXC HQ in Brindabella Business Park.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in providing Application Architecture services to CIOG ICT Architecture Branch (ICTAB) with a specific focus on:
Producing technical artefacts describing application patterns, principles, standards, policies, reference architectures and strategies covering desktop applications, infrastructure applications, client-server applications, n-tier application architecture, SOEs, software currency through evergreen and patching, container architecture, active directory models, cloud native application architectures across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
Network architecture services to ICTAB with a specific focus on producing technical artefacts describing network designs, patterns, principles, standards, policies, reference architectures and strategies covering IP Address Management, Quality of Service, Infrastructure Naming, Cabling, Communication Rooms, Network Software and Hardware, Gateways, Software Defined Networking, Mobility and Wireless, Fixed and Deployed Networks, Radio Frequency bearers, Local Area Network, Campus Area Network/Base Area Network, Wide Area Network, TACINT and Network Security.
Assistance with IT Work Take On ranging from small software and hardware requests to complex Solution Systems Architectures, and ensuring Work Take On aligns with and uplifts Enterprise Architecture. Understand functional and non-functional requirements and align to enterprise standards and services by producing relevant architectural artefacts, such as high level design documents, patterns, decision papers, and capturing key metadata for architectural repositories and knowledge bases.
Develop patterns, policies and processes for Standalone Networks and roadmaps to remediate them onto Corporate Networks.
Develop a Technology Portfolio Model (TPM) to uplift the architectural maturity of the Defence Approved Hardware List (DAHL).
Technical artefacts and architecture services will be provided in accordance with Defence ICT Technical Assurance Framework (TAF) based on industry standards, particularly TOGAF, ArchiMate and DODAF.
Development RoadMap for the future to ensure CIOG can articulate its current and emerging requirements to Government.
Modern set of standards outlining hardware, application, integration, security and network requirements.
Provide a network Defence can fight on
Maintain currency in operating systems through an information governance framework and supporting organisational structures.
A security architect with a strong network background and specifically Defence Architecture Framework (DAF), DoDAF or TOGAF experience would be highly desirable.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years professional experience in IT, with at least 7 years’ experience in an Information Security, Risk Management, Audit or equivalent discipline
Essential to have prior experience and an understand of managing consulting or professional services businesses, including but not limited to people and P&L
Bachelors or Master’s Degree
Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PCI-P, SABSA, ISO27000 Lead Auditor
Expert knowledge of Information Security principles and practices
Advanced project, analysis, problem solving, and business relationship skills
Working knowledge of security standards such as ISO27000, PCI-DSS, Australian Privacy Principles
Excellent understanding of current legislation and precedence governing IT
Excellent understanding of IT Security technologies touching data, physical, business process, system integration, e-commerce
Expert knowledge in the areas of IS Governance, Risk Management or Technical Security Services
Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and manage the timely of projects
Solid presentation, writing and communications skills
Ability to work within challenging business environments
A current NV1 (minimum) security clearance, or the ability to obtain an Australian Government security clearance would be advantageous.
