Based in Adelaide eastern suburbs, an exciting opportunity now exists in the Adelaide based Windows Server Management team. You will be responsible for the support and administration across a variety of Wintel Server based platforms. In addition, will undertake general Incident Management and administration, monitoring and responding to alerts and regular scheduled hardware and OS changes. As an active team player, you will participate in the support and implementation of primarily Microsoft Windows based environments along with VMware, Citrix, and MS. Working as part of a team, providing on-going remote support activities for Client’s in line with Service Level Agreements & Customer Orders.
The position provides the opportunity for a suitable applicant to increase their knowledge and experience supporting these accounts across different environments & technologies, as well as obtaining skills and clearances sought after by the greater ITO organization.
Key Responsibilities:
 Manage workload and ensure assignments are completed on time and within target completion dates
 Keep clients informed at all times as to progress of assigned tasks and setting realistic expectations with regards to completion dates and status updates in a professional, concise and informative manner
 Demonstrate ownership and interest in goals by identification, escalation and resolution of issues appropriately
 Works with minimal direction from the technical lead to accomplish assigned tasks
 Keeping up to date with new & emerging technologies
 Methodical approach troubleshooting
 Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:
 Demonstrable skills and experience in the installation, configuration and remote support of Windows Servers Win 2012, 2016 and 2019
 Demonstrable experience in managing a VMware virtualised environments & managing VMware vSphere, VSAN, NSX, VROPs
 Working knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols & services i.e.: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
 Ability to work in a team and provide a high level of customer service skills
 Eager to learn and enhance skills
 Advanced automation and scripting skills in Powershell, VB etc
 Advanced Windows Troubleshooting skills including AD, Group Policy
 Experience in HW technologies – enclosures/blades/servers
 Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
 Extensive experience in a large (500+ server) enterprise or corporate environment
 Have an understanding of how to methodically approach troubleshooting
 Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
 Strong communication skills, the ability to interact well in client environment and service excellence
 A positive attitude, a passion for IT and a mindset that can adapt easily to change
 Ability to multitask and prioritize current and incoming workload
Desirable:
 Understanding of ITIL framework
