We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our Adelaide based team. The role involves the management of the Applications that are used to support one of DXC’s major Federal Government clients.
The main applications you will be responsible for supporting include:
Provide ongoing BAU support of installed Applications
Installation and configuration of Applications
Respond to incidents, problems and service requests within SLAs
Raising and executing change controls
Deliver Standard Operating Procedure documentation
Provide high level technical support and direction to Project and Operations teams.
Investigate technical problems assigned to the team and engage other SME's/Vendors as required
Automation of repetitive tasks
To be considered for this role, it is desirable you will possess the following skills & experience:
Experience with the implementation and support of any of the following tools (or similar):
Solarwinds, Automic, ServiceNow.
Experience in Scripting (e.g Powershell, Go, Perl, SQL)
Automation (automating repetitive tasks)
Demonstrated implementation and troubleshooting experience in Windows and/or Linux environments
Sound understanding of ITIL
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Strong customer focus
A positive attitude, a passion for IT and a mindset that can adapt easily to change
Due to Federal Government client requirements, applicants must currently be Australian Citizens and be eligible to gain a Baseline Security Clearance. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility and be willing to work outside of business hours including nights and weekends as per an on-call roster.
