An exciting opportunity now exists in the Adelaide based Midrange Server Management team. You will be responsible for the break/fix support and administration across a variety of Midrange Server based platforms. In addition, will undertake general Incident Management and administration, monitoring, patching and responding to alerts and regular scheduled hardware, application and OS changes. Working as part of a team, providing on-going remote support activities for Client’s in line with Service Level Agreements & Customer Orders.
Key Responsibilities:
 Respond to break/fix incident, patching, deployments, problem, change, SRs within SLAs
 Manage workload and ensure assignments are completed on time and within target completion dates
 Keep clients informed at all times as to progress of assigned tasks and setting realistic expectations with regards to completion dates and status updates in a professional, concise and informative manner
 Demonstrate ownership and interest in goals by identification, escalation and resolution of issues appropriately
 Works with minimal direction from the technical lead to accomplish assigned tasks
 Keeping up to date with new & emerging technologies
 Participate on 24x7 oncall roster for break/fix support and escalation
 Action planned activities afterhours
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:
 5+ years Senior level RedHat/Unix Administration experience is essential
 A mix of RedHat Linux, Oracle Solaris and HP-UX experience
 Certification in RedHat Linux is highly desirable
 Extensive experience in a large (500+ server) enterprise or corporate environment
 Demonstrable skills and experience in the installation, configuration and remote support of Midrange Servers
 Experience working in large complex Enterprise environments
 Experience in HW technologies – enclosures/blades/servers
 Good understanding and experience in VMWare ESX environment is desirable
 Solid grounding in ITIL best practice
 Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
 Strong communication skills, the ability to interact well in client environment and service excellence
 A positive attitude, a passion for IT and a mindset that can adapt easily to change
 Ability to multitask and prioritize current and incoming workload
 Good problem identification and resolution skills
 Good change management process and compliance experience
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal presentation
 Ability to multitask and prioritize current and incoming workload
Desirable:
 Understanding of ITIL framework

 Hold appropriate security clearance, if not, must be willing to apply for clearance
