The Opportunity
Albury Wodonga Health requires 2 General Medicine Advanced Trainees to join our Medicine department.
Albury Wodonga Health currently provide 18 months of core General Medicine Advanced Training, and is awaiting RACP site visit to confirm 2 years of core training
Primary responsibilities of this role include:
AWH 6 monthly rotations include:
- General Medicine
- General Medicine (Acute)
- Rehabilitation
- Nephrology
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
Unique outpatient clinic opportunities including:
- Obstetric Medicine
- Resettled Refugee Medicine
- Indigenous Renal and Obstetric Medicine
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
- Dialysis and Renal

Selection Criteria
Mandatory : Current general registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Mandatory : Successful completion of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Basic Physician Training program.
Mandatory : Participation in the Continuing Medical Education program of the RACP that is required to maintain ongoing currency of training.
Mandatory : Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Mandatory : Ability and willingness to participate in established roster.
Mandatory : Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues and of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation as it relates to ‘Employee’ and ‘Employer’ responsibilities.
Mandatory : Ability to develop and implement initiatives of continuous quality improvement within the designated area of work with a demonstrated customer focussed approach to service delivery.
Mandatory : Demonstrated commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in Department / Ward Performance Management (Review) programs.
