The Opportunity

Two of the largest online courses at Monash University are recruiting for future sessional Teaching Associates and Supervisors.

The Graduate Diploma in Psychology is designed to allow graduates of other disciplines to retrain in psychology. The opportunity is for passionate educators to join our team as teaching associates which involves both teaching and marking. Teaching and marking one class is approximately 2 days per week, with these hours spread out across the week.

The Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced is a world-first online accredited 4th year (honours equivalent) in psychology, which contains a significant fully-online research project. The opportunities in this program are for Teaching Associates to teach and mark, and for Supervisors of students’ 4th Year research projects. The role is approximately 1-2 days per week, with these hours spread out across the week.

Both programs operate on a unique structure with 6 teaching periods per year, each running for 6 weeks with a 2 week break in between.

Selection criteria:

We are looking for applicants who:

Have completed a 4th Year sequence in Psychology
Are at least part way through a Masters/DPsych/PhD in Psychology
Have teaching and/or supervision experience
Are passionate about online education and improving the student experience
Who love working in a team but also work well independently
