Communications Advisor (Operations)
Full-time @80 hours per fortnight, including an ADO

DEPARTMENT:

Alfred Health’s Public Affairs and Communications Department is responsible for the organisation’s strategic reputational management ensuring that its brand position and stakeholder relationships contribute to achieving the organisation’s long term goals.

The group is responsible for corporate communications, external affairs, media relations, community engagement, internal engagement as well as digital communications.

POSITION:

As the Communications Advisor (Operations) you will advise on specific operations projects to ensure accurate, timely and useful information is provided to frontline staff, patients and communities. This requires working collaboratively and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the health services.

The role is strongly focussed on Alfred Health’s COVID-19 response and related operational initiatives.

Working to the Senior Public Affairs Manager and closely with the Operations and Public Affairs teams, you will also support other operational initiatives and programs of strategic significance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive skills and knowledge base in radiation therapy practice commensurate with experience at Bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, communications or similar
Experience in dynamic public affairs or corporate affairs roles, including issues communication
Experience in operational environments and /or government agencies preferred
Experience in using creative packages and systems (eg Adobe, Mail Chimp) as well as remote technologies
Experience in healthcare is an advantage
