The role:Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint a hospitality professional with cooking qualifications to a Part Time Chef role at our aged care residence in Wahroonga.Roaster: Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 3.00pm & Friday 10.30am - 6.30pm What this role involves: Extensive cooking, execution of food preparation, presentation and menu planningAdherence to dietary requirements (allergies, texture modified, purees, etc.)Stock ordering, rotation, stocktaking and heavy liftingMaintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensilsMaintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practicesFast, effective service provided with a smileAssisting the broader team as required What we require from you: Certificate III (or similar) in Commercial CookeryFood Safety Certification (highly desirable)Experience in executing all aspects of kitchen operations and food preparation in an aged care, or similar catering environmentAbility to work well with other team members, independently or isolated.A commitment to genuine, friendly customer serviceMotivation, enthusiasm and a positive ‘can-do’ attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced, challenging & time-sensitive environmentPride in personal appearance & hygiene
