Itis expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements ofthe position as outlined below.The AFP’s Office of the Commissioner portfolio is seeking a highly motivated person to work within the Mediaand Communications section as a Senior Team Member - Social Media.Are you a highly motivated, creative and experienced digital communicator who thrives in a fast-paced,dynamic environment?Do you want to work in a team which:Manages the social media voice of the Australian Federal Police (AFP)Creates content that promotes the outstanding work of our workforceWorks closely with all areas of the organisationHas regular contact with government, corporate stakeholders and the Australian public?The key duties of the position include:Responsible for the creation, management, scheduling and strategic planning of content across the AFP’s social media accountsCommunity management of an audience of more than half a million followers across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedInSocial media performance reportingManagement and execution of AFP social media strategyManagement of AFP social media policy and handbookBuilding effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Manage competing priorities, adapting easily to change while working effectively, quickly and calmly under pressure.EligibilityMust have an Australian citizenship.A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Tertiary qualifications in journalism, public relations/media, marketing and/or communications, or equivalent high-level experience in industry roles.Understanding of social media platforms and experience managing social media communitiesWell-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.Strong analytical, conceptual/organisational skills and sound knowledge and understanding of working in a media and communications environment.The ability to write creatively for various social media platforms.
