    Our client is a local business that is a market leader in their respective FMCG market. Our client is seeking committed and skilled Tradesperson/s or experienced Maintenance candidates to work at their local food manufacturing site.     About the role.

    Being based at a FMCG factory, the main purpose of this role is to complete breakdown and scheduled maintenance to ensure reduced production down time. This role involves both completing structured maintenance processes, and also utilising personal creativity and problem solving to get the job done. This role is working in part of a dynamic maintenance team who have the ability to work both in teams and individually. This role has the opportunity for shift rotations and overtime and would suit an individual who is happy to be flexible with work hours.

    Skills/ Experience

  • A trade qualification in Maintenance Fitting or similar trade is preferred (but not essential for highly skilled candidates with FMCG maintenance experience).
  • Previous experience in a maintenance fitting role in a FMCG Business would be highly preferable.
  • Preventative maintenance experience, with the ability to follow and document completed maintenance tasks.
  • Experience interpreting, reading and following plans.
  • Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to utilise creativity and problem solving skills that are required for difficult breakdown issues.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical assessment.
  • To be successful you must possess

  • Good knowledge of workplace safety.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and liaise with a wide range of people in different job roles.
  • Be fit and healthy for physical work.
