•Interesting and varied work •Supportive work environment •Great working conditions The successful candidate will provide specialised legal services on land administration matters relevant to Land Use Victoria’s divisions.You will provide quality specialised legal services to Land Use Victoria's divisions of Land Registry Services and Strategic Land Assessment & Information including the Registrar of Titles, the Surveyor-General Victoria and the Valuer-General Victoria.You will have sound knowledge of the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Victoria), Subdivision Act 1988, Transfer of Land Act 1958 and associated regulations and statutory instruments.You will have experience of the procedures for the examination and registration of dealings in land and water, as well as demonstrated experience in interpreting, reviewing and developing legislation relating to property law; land registration and land administration.You must be admitted or be eligible for admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.Your application must include both your CV and a supporting statement addressing how you meet the key selection criteria.Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Qualifications and Admission: Law degree or other formal qualification in law – mandatory. Admitted, or eligible for admission, as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria – mandatory.Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Victoria), Operating Requirements for electronic conveyancing, Participation Rules for electronic conveyancing, Registrar's Requirements for paper conveyancing, Subdivision Act 1988, Transfer of Land Act 1958 and associated regulations.Experience: Demonstrated understanding of the procedures for the examination and registration of dealings in land and water. Demonstrated experience in the interpretation, review and development of legislation; property law, land registration; land administration; contract law; public and administrative law; and the formulation of highly complex and/or sensitive legal advice.
