About the job Jibber Jabber Allied Health is a locally renowned multidisciplinary clinic offering Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy to people of all ages, although we specialise in paediatric clients. We are a registered NDIS provider offering our services to both NDIS supported clients and private patients. Jibber Jabber operates across two clinics in the northern suburbs of Geelong, located just 45 minutes from Melbourne and 25 minutes from Werribee. About the role Due to an increase in demand and growth in the area, we are currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our ever-expanding team of 14 staff. This position will require you to work with clients 4 days per week, plus a client-free dedicated administration day. The successful applicant will be office based, with occasional travel to schools, kindergartens and childcare centres in the local area. The role is available to Occupational Therapists of any experience as training and mentoring is provided. New graduates are welcome to apply. Reporting to the Senior Speech Pathologist, your duties will include: Provide outstanding therapy to clients at all times Provide quality and engaging service while working to meet the clients goals Attending and contributing to team meetings and mentoring sessions Attending SSG/TCA meetings as required Preparing for sessions and producing resources as needed Generating reports as needed for Doctors, NDIS or Medicare in a timely manner Maintaining privacy and all company policies Depending on experience, the successful applicant may need to mentor and lead junior staff members Essential skills and experience A Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy Eligibility for certified practising membership of Occupational Therapy Australia Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration An NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain Excellent written and verbal communication skills Developed organisational and time management skills Ability to work autonomously and in teams in a multidisciplinary environment Strong client focus Commitment to learning and furthering professional development Enjoys working with children and people with disabilities Competency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook A current driver's license Benefits and perks We pride ourselves on having an amazing work environment and culture with dedicated, happy, and motivated staff.
