About the roleSouth West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Nurse ready to commence their nursing career in Mental Health.SWH provides a highly supportive environment for Graduate Nurses that encourages professional development and excellence in nursing care. Our aim is to provide clinical support during the transition from student to Registered Nurse, whilst encouraging self-directed learning. The Graduate Mental Health Nurse Program (GMHNP) provides Graduate Nurses with the opportunity to consolidate and apply theoretical knowledge, while developing skills in a variety of settings. The GMHNP incorporates clinical experience, theoretical study days and online competency based training over a 53-week program commencing immediately. The successful applicants are employed to work either full or part time hours (a minimum 64 hours per fortnight).GMHNP will allow graduates to consolidate their undergraduate learning and build effective evidence-based Mental Health nursing practice within a bio-psychosocial framework.
