Job Description

About IPA:IPA is a well-established Australian provider of employment and career solutions designed to help organisations and individuals to succeed at work. About the role:Operating from within Rural Economic Development, Central Region, you will work on a variety of projects targeting improved profitability and sustainability for agriculture. The position will primarily be responsible for the economic evaluation of management practice changes occurring in sugarcane, horticulture, and grazing production systems in the south region. Duties: Provide economic support to our client's staff and projects through the delivery of high-quality economic evaluation and extension services targeting improved profitability and sustainability. Develop bio-economic models and use other economic analysis methods to assess agricultural production activities, natural resource management initiatives and policy analysis (gross margin analysis, cost benefit analysis, partial budgeting etc). Use appropriate economic methodologies to analyse project data in a timely manner to ensure milestones are met and prepare discussion papers, reports, submissions, and other associated correspondence on a range of issues. Initiate, develop and maintain relationships in the following capacities: in multi-disciplinary teams; with providers of other forms of economic development services, including universities, other government agencies and the private sector; with collaborating organisations and research and development corporations to develop or assist in external projects. Undertake projects and activities as required and self-organise workflows priorities and projects to ensure outcomes are met. The successful candidate will ideally have and be able to demonstrate the following: Relationship building Able to gather insights and embrace new ideas and innovation to inform future practice Inspire others Foster healthy and inclusive workplaces Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or agriculture (including economics/business) Current drivers' licence Ability to travel and stay overnight Current police check 2 current references If this, is you Apply Now!Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
