Adrenalin is seeking a Senior PHP Drupal Developer who will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and vibrant team culture which offers workplace flexibility and career and development opportunities.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Technology & Delivery, this role will work closely with the UX, Creative, User Interface Development and Backend Development teams to deliver industry leading technology.

Specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with various teams on solution design and technical specifications
  • Plan project tasks in the sprint based on story while working towards a quality deliverable, adhering to overall project scope
  • Work closely with other development team members to design and build quality solutions
  • Ensure integrity of the development is maintained throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Participate in the scoping activities related to technical components and providing estimates
  • THE ESSENTIALS

    To be considered for this position you have:

  • Successfully built large scale responsive web applications
  • Have proven experience delivering large Drupal 8 projects
  • Strong experience in responsive website development using the LAMP model (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Recent experience in working with JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, CSS and HTML
  • Led backend development of projects independently
  • Worked in a similar position for a minimum of 3 years
  • Cloud hosting experience with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience building with Linux, Nginx/Apache and MySQL/PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of Git
  • Exceptional attention for quality and have an ability to think outside of the box
  • Digital agency experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • In addition, experience with two or more of the following would be highly regarded:

  • Experience with WordPress CMS development
  • Building REST APIs
  • Setting up CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins etc.
  • Decoupled/Headless CMS’s
  • Open source contributions
  • Modern Javascript libraries – React, Angular etc
  • Docker
  • Apache Solr
  • Unit Testing with PHPUnit
  • Other programming experience – C#, Python, Go, Node
