Job Description

Members and patrons are drawn to our club; as they enjoy a great atmosphere, excellent dining options and exceptional service.  As one of Sydney’s top 10 registered clubs, and with over 70,000 members and 700 employees, Bankstown Sports provides a diverse venue for everyone Bankstown Sports Club is looking for a dedicated and motivated Café Manager to completely manage the day to day operation of the busy Cornerstone Café located within the club. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager this role will work heavily in the operation providing effective support and leadership for the Café team. To succeed in this role; you must have leadership skills, exceptional communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include;Managing day to day operations of Cornerstone CafeManage inventory/stock controlKeeping up to date with events occurring within the club to make sure staffing levels are at an optimum service level.Create front of house rosters whilst liaising with the rostering team to ensure rosters meet service requirements and are efficient.Providing support, leadership and overseeing staff performanceWorking with relevant chef/s to develop new food and beverage offeringsSupport recruitment in the hiring process for Cornerstone CaféDrive ongoing training to ensure staff are driven and always improving.Monitoring and keeping track of service complaints and feedback from customers to ensure satisfaction with both food and serviceEnsuring health and food safety standards and regulations are followed, as well as the Clubs industry standards Essential Criteria: Cafe Team Leader or Cafe Supervisor experience (preferred) Confident in delivering instructions and giving team briefingsAbility to provide an effective approach to Customer Service deliveryStrong work ethicMulti-tasking abilitiesExceptional conflict resolution techniquesMust have RSA and RCG qualificationsExceptional communication and customer service skillsExceptional presentation and professional demeanourRights to work in Australia About the BenefitsCareer development - we love to promote internally and between clubsTraining - ongoing training opportunities are providedUniformsParking - free, secure and underground car parking (plus a discount on car washes)Health & Wellbeing ProgramRewards & Recognition - you'll have access to generous rewards and recognition programIf you are ready to take on a new challenge, are passionate about working in a dynamic and innovative workplace and are someone who realises the tremendous opportunity that this role offers, we want to hear from you! Apply now!
