In addition, the In-Room Dining kitchen also provides internal catering and yacht functions for our VIP guests. Our dedicated team of chefs strive to meet the dining expectations of our guests from all around the world. Our menu is highly diversified and includes not only the In-Room Dining classics but also many diverse cuisines.We are recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join the team. The successful candidate will be a confident leader who is passionate about learning and creating the best possible dining experience for our guests. You will assist the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to ensure kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently. This will include assisting with stock control, coaching, supervising and training junior staff members. You will rotate between different sections in the kitchen and be able to adapt cooking style accordingly. If this sounds like you, please read on for further details about the role and how to apply!Skills & Experience Wok Skills – A Must!Hold relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate III in Commercial CookeryExperience working in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment (Hotel experience is advantageous)Ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and work as part of the teamConfident taking initiative and solving problems as they arisePatience and ability to maintain focus under pressureStrong understanding of produce, culinary techniques and kitchen equipmentKeen eye for detail and ability to maintain quality control Roster Being a 24/7 operation, our chefs work on a 7-day rotating roster.
