Sous Chef - Nobu(Job Number:MEL11268)DescriptionSous Chef – Nobu Nobu is the world's most recognised Japanese restaurant known for its innovative new-style Japanese cuisine with over 30 restaurants around the world. The split level venue features a sushi bar, private dining room, main restaurant downstairs and bar upstairs, offering a full a la carte menu. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Chef de Cuisine in the day to day operation of the kitchen as well as providing leadership and coaching to your team. You must be highly motivated and focused with excellent attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will also be customer focused and enjoy the challenge of working for an internationally renowned restaurant brand. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar Sous Chef position within Hot Kitchen in a premium Japanese venue Upmarket dining, high volume restaurants or hotel experience is highly desirable Effective leadership skills including the ability to train and mentor your team Capability to manage & monitor financial budgets and food & labour costs Ability to rapidly adapt to change and lead team change processes as required Skilled to maintain high and consistent food standards at all times while following HACCP procedures Flexibility to work across a rotating 7 day roster including late evenings, weekends & public holidays What we can offer you: Competitive salary package Free meals whilst on shift & laundered uniforms provided The opportunity to gain qualifications while you work Discounts in Crown restaurants, hotels and retail outlets Discounted parking How to
