Job Description

Position Profile : We are seeking to appoint a suitable experienced and enthusiastic person to the position of Senior Pharmacist. In this role as part of a multidisciplinary team the Senior Pharmacist promotes safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy by providing and coordinating clinical pharmacy services which includes monitoring the patient’s medication profile, providing drug information and undertaking teaching and research. This role plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care and ensures practice is in accordance to the Pharmacy Board of Australia Registration Standards, the Pharmacy Board of Australia Codes and Guidelines including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners and EMHS policies and guidelines.

The Senior Pharmacist position should have Mental Health experience, as extensive clinical medication management reviews for mental health patients are required in this role. Travel to various Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) sites are part of the role of Bentley Health Service. The RPBG mental health sites include (but not limited to) Mills Street Centre, Midland Community Mental Health, City East Community Mental Health and Special Aboriginal Mental Health Service.

Area Profile: Bentley Health Service (BHS) is a specialist hospital located km from the Perth CBD and forms part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. BHS provides quality healthcare to the community, specialising in the delivery of mental health care, aged care services, obstetrics, and rehabilitation.
