Job Description

Eligibility: Open to Everyone Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, Flinders House - Residential Aged Care Facility, QuornSalary: $997.00 - $1,008.10 per week (pro rata) - Ongoing P/T - WHA2 The Services Assistant is responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service, that involves the cleaning of the Flinders House - Residential Aged Care Facility in Quorn. Undertaking general cleaning duties in all areas of the health service as required, your duties will include mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors as well as dusting, window cleaning, wall washing, curtain changing and cleaning of sanitary areas. You will participate in the cleaning of toilets, bed making in non-patient areas and rubbish collection, removal and disposal. You will also assist in loading, unloading and transport of linen and equipment, you may also be required to work laundry services and linen room duties. Working positively and harmoniously with other team members to achieve service delivery excellence, you will be required to problem solve and communicate with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, You will bring a flexible approach to daily work routine, and have the ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds. A sound understanding of Infection Control procedures will be highly regarded. With a flexible approach to work and rostering systems, you will be able to work alone or within a team environment, and work within set timeframes. You will be willing to provide assistance and cooperation to other staff, and perform under general direction or work under limited supervision. Two ongoing part time appointments available working weekend shifts; 20 hours per fortnight total available to be split between two contracts.
