Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYWe have a fantastic opportunity to join a team within a global business as a Transport Service Specialist. Your role will involve working with Nestle factories and warehouses and a large base of transport providers. Our Transport Hub has a responsibility for planning and executing Nestlé’s transportation within Australia with an ambition to simplify and standardise our processes. You will manage daily service performance by proactively identifying and resolving potential service issues and communicating them as they are identified.A DAY IN THE LIFE...Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, the service specialist will identify, mitigate, and record actions as they relate to risks associated with on-time pickup and on-time delivery.You will perform a variety of roles that range from tracking loads, to working with carriers to finding solutions to delays, dealing with the unexpected but ultimately ensuring that all market queries are dealt with and every load arrives. Key Responsibilities include: Monitoring live loads within a transportation plan to ensure on-time delivery. Identifying and where necessary escalating potential issues, implementing solutions to maintain customer service expectations. Proactively communicating to internal and external stakeholders regarding load status and resolution action plans. Dealing with a high volume of requests from both Nestlé markets and external carriers and being able to prioritise tasks accordingly Identifying issues related to not meeting expected standards affecting carriers, DC's, customers, traffic, weather, etc., and work with wider team to develop effective solutions Working with Supply Chain teams to drive toward zero Transport failures. ARE YOU A FIT? Minimum 1-2 years in similar role Transport/ Logistics Background Operational experience and an understanding of Supply Chain end to end processes Possess good communication skills, good time management and prioritisation skills. Can demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced, highly charged environment Natural problem solver Possess intermediate Microsoft office skills Highly analytical and strong attention to detail. Transport Management Experience Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
