About the team The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. The role sits within the Development branch, which is responsible for the development of infrastructure and place projects that facilitate economic, social and environmental outcomes for the people of NSW. The opportunity This position open to flexible locations including; Dubbo, Bathurst, Penrith, Blue Mountains or surrounding. Reporting to the Director of Project Development West, Infrastructure and Place, you will have exposure to an Iconic project ‘The Great Western Highway Upgrade’. This project will deliver 34 kilometres of four lane divided highway between Katoomba and Lithgow. Your specific focus will be on the delivery of the mid-section of the project from Blackheath to Mount Victoria. The NSW Government has committed $2.5 billion in funding towards the planning and delivery of the duplication. Key to your role will be stakeholder engagement and community interface in a politically sensitive environment. You will be required to carry out and drive project assessments, project delivery processes and operations while ensuring compliance with a range of planning, environmental and community engagement requirements. About you To be successful in this position you will have lead major Civil Roads Projects in New South Wales from the Head Contractor delivery-side as either a Project Manager (or) Senior Project Manager. This experience would include exposure across the full life cycle of the project from conception to handover. With strong public and media interest in the project, you understand the need to ensure outcomes are customer-focussed at all times. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to support you in negotiating successful outcomes. Preferably you will hold a degree in Civil Engineering however this is not essential.
