Your new role As a Physiotherapist you will be responsible for: Provide evidence-based individual assessment, and management for older adults presenting with a diverse range of geriatric and/or health conditions impacting their functional abilities. This may include musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, and other chronic health conditions such as cardiorespiratory conditions. • Provide services consistent with a wellness, reablement and/or restorative focus • Participation in the planning, designing and implementation of group exercise and education programs • Contribute to the Physiotherapy student program including involvement in the supervision, planning and providing feedback. • Undertake quality projects as agreed with the Team Leader. What you'll need to succeed To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We're looking for individuals with: • Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy, or Masters of Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry). • Minimum 2 years' experience working with older adults with a diverse range of geriatric, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions • Demonstrated ability to provide quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy services to older adults • Experience with development, implementation and evaluation of group programs. Underpinned by a wellness, reablement and/or restorative philosophy the Physiotherapist will be gain experience in providing holistic services in both a home and centre-based setting. The Physiotherapist will operate as part of a large and innovative multi-disciplinary team and be supported by a clinical lead. The Physiotherapist will also take a lead role in the facilitation and continuous quality improvement of Merri's group programs.
