Do work that makes a difference We currently have two exciting opportunities for experienced BI Solutions Architects to join the team! Both of these roles are key to this project and have a variety of responsibilities. BI Solution Architects are responsible for the development and design of Business Intelligence technology and data management solution architecture, through the application of architectural standards, principles and policies, and alignment to Bank-endorsed strategies, standards, and patterns. One of the roles will be focusing on our BI Transformation Project as the Solution Architect accountable for delivering architectural artefacts, standards and patterns for the ongoing RBA BI Platform. The Solution Architect will be expected to work with the BI team, the Principal Solutions Architect (BI) as well as our Enterprise Data Office, Data Systems Team, Enterprise Architects and Accelerated Data Onboarding Team to develop and agree the requisite standards and architecture. This role is an 18-Month fixed term contract. The other role will be responsible for the design and development of solution and data architecture for the Accelerated Data Consolidation Program (ADCP) - a strategic initiative to streamline the Bank’s critical data onto the BI Platform. The role needs to ensure compliance with the applicable architectural standards, principles, strategies and patterns. This role is also expected to participate in data analysis, data design and development of logical and physical data models to support the detailed design and development. This role is a 3+Year fixed term contract. Both of the roles involves consultations with a wide variety of groups and individuals including the Scrum teams, Data Architect, Principal Solutions Architect (BI), Enterprise Architects as well as the Bank’s Enterprise Data Office (EDO), key business stakeholders, BI support team and external parties. Your team These roles are part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement) and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives. Information Technology Department - responsible for transforming and developing the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives. Your background To be successful in either role you will possess; Degree qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry or equivalent experience Knowledge of/experience with IBM Datastage, SQL, SSIS and commonly used data analytics and BI tools Knowledge of Agile-based SDLC practices and application to BI Experience working closely with Scrum teams and external parties to ensure architecture and design IBM Infosphere Information Server products including DataStage and IGC BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau Cloudera Data Platform or similar Hadoop technologies Big data analytics tools such as RServer, JupyterHub, Anaconda, and Cloudera Data Science Workbench Relevant IT accreditations or certifications, particularly data management, business intelligence architecture related Your development & career Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the Australian people, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports people’s growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
