About the Role Based at our new Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (GRAC) in Traralgon, we are looking for a range of qualified Group Fitness Professionals for both Land-based and Aquatic classes (i.e. Les Mills, HIIT, WETS, Wellness, Cycle, Strength). You will be an enthusiastic person who can develop rapport with a wide range of members while fostering a commitment to their improved Health and Wellbeing. This is undertaken by conducting safe, appropriate and engaging group fitness classes for the specific type of group fitness class promoted on the timetable. You will be relied upon to motivate, educate and enhance each participant’s experience. What we're looking for Interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with a diverse range of customers in age, culture, fitness histories and other backgrounds Specialist injury management knowledge (e.g. medical conditions, disabilities) will be highly regarded Previous experience in group fitness instruction is desirable Mandatory Qualifications Minimum Certificate III in Fitness Current registration with Fitness Australia Current Victorian Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain) Other Required Qualifications 20 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every two years, in order to maintain your registration with Fitness Australia Emphasis on courses relative to the groups that you predominantly work with (e.g. pregnancy, older adults) Les Mills or specialty Accreditation/Qualification All candidates will be required to undertake background and probity checks including Reference Checks, a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
