We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.</p><p> </p><p>The Pipeline Management team within the Development Branch of Infrastructure and Place, manages the project pipeline. We connect client and key stakeholder interfaces, setting Development’s strategic direction, alignment and commitment, while driving business case excellence and ensuring the achievement of successful outcomes for the Development portfolio, clients and customers.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p><p> </p><p>Due to the unprecedented scale of investment in the Transport for NSW Future Transport strategy we have two exciting permanent opportunities for candidates who are operating at a <strong>Senior Economist </strong>level, to join the Pipeline Management team.</p><p> </p><p>These roles undertake economic appraisal of assigned transport projects by complying with national and NSW economic guidelines to inform economic viability, value for money and affordability in business case development.</p><p> </p><p>You will build rigorous and evidence-based economic models by drawing on input data from strategic and operational transport models, land use planning, transport network performance and broad macro and micro economic indicators. Through detailed economic modelling and analysis you will develop economic methodologies and frameworks to inform, assess and evaluate the economic and place-making benefits of transport projects according to client brief, customer outcomes, efficiency and sustainability.</p><p> </p><p>You will provide economic advisory and guidance to various project development teams to ensure high-level consistency and fit-for-purpose economic assessments of transport projects across Infrastructure and Place.</p><p> </p><p>Please click <a href="https://talent832612951.files.wordpress.com/2021/04/rd-ip-development-senior-economist-g9-economics-2.pdf">here</a> to view a copy of the role description.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p> </p><p>Successful candidates will have tertiary qualifications in economics, a related discipline or equivalent experience.
