Who we are: The position will work as part of the Finance, Procurement andFacilities team, providing corporate support to the frontlineoperations of the Department for Trade and Investment. We engagewith all areas of the Department, including our overseasoffices. The role: The Senior Procurement Business Partner is responsible forproviding a range of efficient and responsive procurement planning,administration and management services, to ensure the ongoingconsistency of department procurement practices with whole ofgovernment policies and optimise cost efficient and procurementrisk management outcomes for the department. In this capacity theposition is responsible for: Development of department contracts, policy, framework and procedures in accordance with legislation, audit regulations, Treasurer’s Instructions, and State Procurement Board policies and guidelines Undertake review, development and continuous improvement of procurement processes through review, development and implementation of guidelines, procedures and policies Development and delivery of procurement capability program and training Provides expert procurement policy advice to management and stakeholders for simple and complex procurements Establishing and maintaining sound business relationships with suppliers, government agencies and industry through effective consultation and collaboration Ensuring that the highest possible professional standards aremaintained in relation to confidentiality, probity and ethicalconduct. About you: Good working knowledge of procurement principles and processes A high level of written and oral communication geared towards reporting, the preparation of briefings and presentations, including the ability to explain concepts succinctly Proven ability to work under broad direction, either independently or as a member of a team, determine priorities, set and meet deadlines and exercise judgement, initiative and delegated authority in the resolving of issues Demonstrated experience in end to end procurement processes Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks and operational relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders. Desirable Qualifications: Qualifications in procurement, business, contract management or similar. Demonstrated experience in a State government procurement role. Special Conditions: Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years Full-time, fixed term contract up to 2 years. Remuneration: ASO6, $92,784 - $98,143pa
