The Forensic team sits within the Claims Solutions practice and is a specialised practice devoted to providing expert Insurance related Accounting and Analytical services.We are recognised as global leaders in our field of pre-loss consulting and post-event claims preparation, in the areas of Property Damage, Business Interruption, Product Recall and Cyber. This position is for a developing professional who works under supervision to analyse financial data and build financial models that capture and quantify financial exposures. This position partners with senior consultants to manage a variety of Forensic Accounting tasks with a primary focus on the communication of financial data to key stakeholders. Furthermore, the role is to help provide expert technical and strategic advice to assist our clients in mitigating their risk exposures.What is in it for you?Leading training and development program to develop your skills and consulting acumenProfessional environment where your career path really matters and is supported in our global organisationGreat team environment with energetic and supportive colleaguesGenuine work life balanceIn this role you will be responsible for:Analysing and validating financial and accounting data from clientsFinancial ModellingPreparation of loss analysisDevelop an understanding of insurance policies and help to provide solutions to client risk management needsAssist the Engagement Manager to prepare, negotiate and settle insurance claims.Writing effective client communication materials under supervision – reports, slides decks & client emailsTakes responsibility for own fieldwork in a timely manner in consultation with engagement managerWork with the engagement team and learn to help identify and address key technical aspects of the engagementLearn to develop strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal Marsh teamSeek opportunities to identify proposal leads in consultation with relevant stakeholdersDelivers work within established budgets, timeframes and deadlinesAssist to prepare project proposals, plans and reports to ensure project is delivered according to the project planManage company practices and procedures for timekeeping, expense management, reporting and billing are followedWe would like you to have:3 to 5 years post qualification experience within Audit, Middle Market or InsolvencyExperience in insurance claims, forensic accounting, litigation, fraud or similar economic losses is preferred.Strong analytical skills with a core focus on attention to detailAbility to operate in a team environment with a strong work ethicMotivated and keen to work in a dynamic team environment across our National teamEager to learn and is developing technical knowledge to standard required to deliver high quality client servicesStrong presentation skills, including fluent verbal & written EnglishProficient in both Word and Excel including a strong understanding in advanced formulasStrong interpersonal skills, hardworking and an ability to work in a small team environment as part of a National team of specialistsCommitment to providing high level client service ability to operate in a team environmentHave flexibility with an ability to work on various projects at one timeQualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or equivalentQualified as either a CA or CPA or close to completingAbout Marsh:Marsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
