The Clinical Lead &ndash; Drug and Alcohol in Whole Family Team (WFT) is responsible for the leadership and supervision of clinicians providing specialist interventions for families with parental Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol. The team works towards the recovery and ongoing safety and wellbeing of families and their children involved with the child protection system. The position will supervise, mentor and support the team to provide specialist drug and alcohol interventions to ensure families receive comprehensive care in close collaboration with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) as well as other health services, relevant government and non-government agencies. There is a focus on strengthening parenting capacity so children can safely remain with their family. Working in partnership with the Clinical Lead - Mental Health they are responsible for the leadership and supervision of the team that supports the recovery and ongoing safety and wellbeing of children and young people involved with the child protection system. They actively engage and participate in relevant drug and alcohol networks to support referral pathways, integrated model/s of care and evidence based interventions for the team. WFT is a key service working in the family preservation area and is part of the VAN - Family Services Unit.
