<ul><li>Full-time ongoing positions available</li><li>Salary starting from $72,418 pa + super</li><li>Position located in either Parramatta, Hornsby, or Windsor</li></ul><p>The <a href="https://www.scs.nsw.gov.au/">Soil Conservation Service</a> (SCS) is looking for two hands-on Environmental Officers to implement and deliver the following environmental projects.<br><br><strong>Position 1: Asset Protection Zone (APZ) Program (located in Windsor)</strong><br>This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a small team of field staff as they deliver the APZ Program (bushfire risk mitigation works) including on the ground delivery of works and assisting with administration of the program.<br><br>You’ll need to have experience in the management and delivery of asset protection zones for bushfire mitigation, supervision of people, program planning, and strong client liaison skills.<br><br><strong>Position 2: Soil conservation and erosion control projects (located in either Parramatta or Hornsby)<br></strong>This role is responsible for the supervision and project delivery of commercial soil conservation and erosion control projects for the Parramatta-based SCS team.<br><br>To be successful you’ll need to have experience in the supervision of coastal erosion works, dune restoration, fire trail maintenance, vegetation management, and strong client liaison skills. Experience in earthmoving and civil projects will be highly regarded.<br><br><strong>About You:<br></strong>As well as the above, you’ll have strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work autonomously, assess and prioritise tasks in a changing environment and be able to attend to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.<br><br>You’ll also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a strong level of computer literacy including MS Office applications – particularly MS Excel.<br><br>A current class C Drivers’ License with a willingness to travel throughout the Sydney metro region and other locations throughout NSW as needed is also a requirement of the role.<br><br><strong><em>Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake a health assessment as part of their pre-employment conditions before an offer on employment can be made.<br><br></em></strong><strong>How to Apply:<br></strong>If this role sounds ideal to you, please apply via our online portal by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience match what we are looking for.
