About the ProgramThe F-35 Lighting II Joint Strike Fighter is one of the most advanced aircrafts in the world. BAE Systems Australia plays an important role in the global program, with responsibility for sustaining the RAAF's new fleet of F-35 fighter jets. About the Opportunity Being a primary contact for site's F 35 technical issues, you will work as a conduit between the internal engineering team and external partner. This role will see you providing the technical interface and assisting in resolving issues arising from the aircraft modification and maintenance activities for all matters at the F-35 Maintenance, Repair, Overhall & Upgrade (MRO&U) Depot. Through access of the F-35 Toolsets (ALIS, PDM, VAS, JDL, JEDI), you will troubleshoot faults and diagnose issues. In more specific terms you will: Provide troubleshooting and analysis of the Airframe, Vehicle and Avionic SystemsCarry out fault isolation and problem analysis at a sub-system levelAttend debriefings to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require engineering intervention to avoid aircraft downtimeDocument all unusual operation/maintenance problems to ensure that the program is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trendsInitiate action requests (ARs) and provide on-site assistance to maintenance workforceIdentify unique operational problems that require technical, procedural or quality assurance actions to resolveProvide training to the maintenance workforceProvide support for aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitationsLead and track multiple engineering efforts and provide periodic status to program management About youAs an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have: Demonstrable (civil or military) aircraft experience (essential)Ability to work and communicate well both verbally and written across various engineering teams and maintainersSome working knowledge of F-35 Platform is desirableTechnical qualification in relevant Mechanical, Electronic or Fitter (Armourer) discipline Don't meet every criteria listed above?
