Job Description

With a really unique offering in the Japanese cuisine market, this venue has received loads of positive press over the year. Although not trading a max capacity, they are still busy and need to maintain a consistency in their offering.This one of a kind venue seeks to add a Sous chef ready to step up or a seasoned head chef that comes with the relevant experience in Japanese cuisine as well as modern sushi.The ideal candidate we seek for the role will come with high end Japanese A la Carte experience as well as great sushi skills to compliment the the best level of produce. Skills we seek include: Great knowledge and skills in modern Japanese cuisines and Sushi techniquesCan work with a small team and get the best out of the staff Are an even tempered manager that maintains composure in the kitchenGood knowledge of creating and costing out menu'sExperience in Yakiniku is highly desirableHave great overall operational knowledge and strong financial acumenCome with great communications skills both oral and writtenFull knowledge of all kitchen operations, ordering, stock take, etc.Have top notch knife skills and experience breaking down proteinsAbove all, be passionate and a team player If you believe that you possess the skills required and a looking for stability and longevity, this is it!
