About the Centre Casey ARC is a Centre for everyone. Located in Narre Warren it’s one Melbourne’s best Health & Wellness facilities. Casey ARC includes a 50m swimming pool, program pool, toddler pool, wave pool, spa/sauna/steam room, a fully equipped health club area, extensive group fitness timetable, and programs that cater to a diverse community. A leader who can help carry our vision and inspire those they lead to impact, develop and grow. The Café/Retail Team Leader will support the implementation of operational excellence across the Centre. The role will have a key focus on customers, sales, development of staff and helping create a safety culture across Casey ARC. You will be a skilled leader overseeing a dedicated staff team while providing a high quality customer service and sales culture. If you have management style that is aligned with the values and leadership behaviours of the YMCA then we have the role for you. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate and dedicated team. The Cafe/Retail role is a part time role that holds a 0.5 FTE which equates to 19 hours per week. Selection Criteria Knowledge and Experience Customer service or program delivery experience Leadership experience Relevant Certificate IV or equivalent Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience - desirable. Customer focused approach Passionate about leadership and developing staff Diligent and consistent Qualifications Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications: These must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment, at the employee’s expense. Current Working with Children Card, or approved equivalent. Satisfactory National Criminal History Records Check, and International Police Records Check (if applicable) Australian Children’s Foundation (ACF) Safeguarding Children Certificate HLCPRA Perform CPR HLTAID Provide First Aid SISSS Pool Lifeguard Skill Set YMCA, including Boards of Directors, is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. YMCA requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to: a national criminal history check; an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas; holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance/ equivalent in accordance with state/ territory laws; ACF Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (completion online prior to commencement) Two reference checks. Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with YMCA.
