The Adelaide Oval has great historical and cultural significance to the city and the state.The Oval Hotel is a stunning architectural design integrated within the Eastern Stand. Hotel guests are immersed in stadia life within a perfect intersectional space offering discovery and excitement to quiet contemplation and comfort. Oval Hotel provides authentic design and gracious, sophisticated personalised service, all created to give our guests a feeling of being somewhere exclusive, special. The Oval Hotels hotel rooms fill existing recesses within the stadium’s eastern façade and maximises views outward into the picturesque North Adelaide Parklands. Hotel Guests can immerse themselves in the stadium life by attending a major event, conference or dining in our signature Five Regions Restaurant or Bespoke Bar and Kitchen with views inward over the hallowed grounds.In joining our team, you are part of an expansive organisation that oversees the hospitality services for several off-site venues including, the Adelaide Oval, Ukaria Cultural Centre, Monarto Zoo, Koffee Ink, (A) Lure, and the Maltshovel Taphouse.Chefs - Oval Hotel (Casual) We are looking for well versed hotel and restaurant chefs to support our Permanent team in a casual capacity in delivering exceptional food to our guests. Ideal candidates must have the ability to work independently in high pressure corporate environments, have the desire to go above & beyond, be able to multi-task, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be a team player.With new modern kitchens and fresh, quality produce to work with, you will be helping to deliver high end quality menus to both our restaurants and stadium club corporate clients.Specifically, you can expect the following: Bulk food prep (be prepared to chop, cut, peel and wash!).Work across multiple restaurants and F&B outlets within the Hotel.Delivery of a-la-carte, banquets and other contemporary menus.Fully supplied, cleaned and pressed uniforms. To to be successful in gaining one of these roles you must have the following: Applicable trade qualifications (must be provided).Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory).Minimum 3 years relevant experience in one or more of the following: Fine dining restaurants, medium to large a-la-carte restaurants, HotelsAvailability to work major event days at the Adelaide Oval (check the 'What's On' section of the the website).Ability to follow reasonable instructions in a safe and timely manner.Excellent communication and listening skills.A positive 'can do' attitude and team approach.Demonstrated reliability and punctual attendance in your past employment. To be successful for a position at Oval Hotel, you must have completed an apprenticeship or, hold a self funded qualification with minimum 3 years industry experience.
