Job Description

Work type: Maximum Term Contract Location: Perth Seven West Media (SWM) is the leading listed national multi-platform media business based in Australia. We comprise thewest.com.au, PerthNow.com.au, thegame.com.au, The West Australian, The Sunday Times and associated Perth metro and WA regional newspapers. SWM WA have created a new management role in which we are looking for a candidate to coordinate our Digital strategy across Editorial, Subscriptions, Advertising and Technology. This candidate will have strong Project management skills and would have ideally coordinated similar stakeholders within a news media or digital business. This is a six-month contract based in our Osborne Park office. The key responsibilities of this position include: Overall responsibility for the digital product management and product delivery at SWM WA Manage the product roadmap and plan for all digital products Chair the cross-functional Digital taskforce, being the single point of accountability for the taskforce outcomes Partner with executives and business stakeholders to identify key capability requirements and identify potential issues Partner with the Editorial team on the coordination of subscription-driving content and features Partner with the Advertising team on the delivery of digital advertising initiatives and strategy Partner with Digital Technology team to manage the roadmap to ensure that requirements are delivered on time and per expectation Partner with the Customer Engagement team to develop and implement Digital subscriber growth and retention strategies Partner with Marketing team to develop marketing strategies and ensure implementation of initiatives Be the escalation point and ultimate owner for product, project and operational issues with the Digital products To be successful in this position, you will be able to: Work collaboratively with a broad range of business stakeholders Be highly resilient and work under the pressures of tight deadlines Clearly communicate and engage with senior business executives Drive business outcomes in a timely basis Influence a broad range of internal stakeholders without authority Strong analytical, prioritisation and negotiation skills Experience with the following is highly desirable: Media / publisher industry experience Content strategy & SEO management Digital marketing We want to engage like-minded people who embody our values: Make it Happen – Be the Solution, Be Brave – Speak Up and Better Together – Join Forces.
