Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for an Project Accountant to join our team in Brooklyn on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible to process high volume of invoices into both Wood system and the client system and to perform reconciliations as necessary. Accounts Payable: Managing the interface of supplier invoices across multiple databases and to troubleshoot and resolve and related process issues Review/approve coding of invoice in Azolve Resolving stop credits Respond and investigate queries relating to invoice processing and invoice payments Invoicing: Ensure rates data changes captured in a timely manner and provided to the client Invoice client in accordance with contract Reconciling the monthly claim data between Oracle and Maximo Liaise with Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, Site Administrators, Accounts payable in Delhi to resolve any discrepancies and to address any underlying process issues causing the discrepancies/timing differences between the two systems. Liaises with client representatives to resolve billing queries; Manage the entire billing process and ensure that the DSO target for the contract is achieved, with any issues raised timely for resolution with the respective parties Other: Work with the Contract Senior Project Accountant to manage the customer financial audit processes & ensure resolution is reached To provide cover (backup) for the Payroll Administrator role Assist with the month end close activities Undertake the monthly aged unbilled and aged AR analysis Other ad hoc task as assigned by the Contract Senior Project Accountant Skills / Qualifications Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or Finance CA or CPA qualified ( or currently working towards ) Knowledge, skills and experience: 2-4 years project accounting experience Proficient user of Excel Good commercial knowledge Good systems experience (e.g. Oracle, Maximo, Azolve) Personal attributes: Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships Good communication skills both verbal and written High attention to detail Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role If you're an experienced Accountant, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.
