Home Support Services (HSS) is part of Medibank’s family of companies and is the leading provider of home hospital care for a range of public and private funders. We provide healthcare and wellbeing services nationally in alternative settings to hospitals, supporting people across the care continuum.
You will be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients, providing in home person-centered care and applying best clinical practice. The nursing team care for all age groups within our community with a variety of nursing needs, including but not limited to, complex wound care, palliative care including management of syringe drivers, simple and complex medication administration and chronic disease management. We have current vacancies in the North and West of Melbourne.
What will set you apart from the rest?
We’re looking for a person who has what it takes to make a difference in our clients’ lives. You will be an experienced RN, confident working autonomously within the community care setting and be able to demonstrate:
• Current unrestricted AHPRA Divisional 1 Registered Nurse
• 2 years of recent acute nursing experience
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
• The ability to multitask and show initiative
• Confidence with smart phones and digital devices, or a willingness to learn
• CPR/BLS certificate
• Current Australian Drivers' License
• Willingness to travel between customers' home in your own vehicle
• Minimum availability of 3 days per week
