Job Description

JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle. Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists at our Rockhampton Processing Plant for a Maintenance Fitter to commence from January 2020. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional service.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic, exciting organisation and enjoy the benefits and satisfaction in contributing to the continued growth and success of our business. This role is responsible for providing maintenance across the plant where required.

Responsibilities:

To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance
Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances to ensure equipment and facilities are in optimum condition for their intended use
Ensure all mechanical work is carried out to meet the company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
Demonstrated ability to identify faults through the use of fault finding techniques with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
Other responsibilities that may come up from time to time, such as working on projects

Criteria:

An appropriate trade qualification is essential
Able to demonstrate integrity and a professional work attitude
Highly developed time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work shift work including rotating roster, day and afternoon shift.
