Production Operator - Logistics

• Immediate start
• Permanent position
• Forklift licence required

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Logistics Operator at our Lemnos Foods manufacturing operation located in Dandenong South. We are looking for someone who can help in the day to day activities within the logistics team. You will be proactive, have great attention to detail and be someone who can work autonomously. This is not the typical 7 am – 3pm type of role, we need someone to go the extra mile with a can-do attitude. Overtime may be required and weekends.

In this role you will have the responsibility to service Production for their material and ingredient daily needs, maintain a tidy and accurate inventory of the storage warehouse and process daily deliveries from suppliers ensuring they meet the site’s needs. The position has a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Keeping the warehouse, chemical cage and surroundings area clean and organized.
• Check deliveries and locate them in the warehouse accordingly.
• Troubleshooting day to day issues
• Materials movements for production orders
• Liaise with different stakeholders of the production team
• Liaise with different third parties logistics and waste management companies
• Record materials movements in the SAP system
• Stocktake of materials

To be successful in this position, you must have:

• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills is a must
• Forklift licence and significant experience in forklift operations
• Computer literacy (MS office)
• Experience in picking and packing materials
• Experience in inventory control tasks
• Experience using SAP (desirable)
