Nespresso are currently seeking an experienced and confident Territory Sales Manager to manage the commercial trade relationships with our retail partners. The main purpose of the role is to promote Nespresso within the trade channel of retailers and to manage the day to day activities to maximise the machine sell out through these channels .While working as a territory sales manager, you will be responsible to ensure that the territory delivers on its commercial objectives where through your activities the Nespresso brand image is respected through professional execution of our demonstration activities, execute high impact product and point of sale merchandising activities and maintain our competitive gap with our trade partners.
Key responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:
Driving machine sell out and maintaining commercially set business objectives
Independently be accountable and manage a portfolio of stores in you territory
Maintaining relationships with retailers, creating a partnership between retail trade, machine partners and Nespresso
Negotiating and working with retail partners on point of sale machine sell-out & merchandising opportunities
Educating and training key store contacts and maximising product knowledge in stores
Work on a day to day operational level with our external demonstration agency partners to manage effective trade demos in trade
Organising in-store demonstration training with in-store staff and product demonstrators
Facilitating and managing consumer shows and tasting events in your region
This position will allow you to work with a high degree of autonomy on your day to day schedule, whilst also enjoying the support of a strong team network.
The successful candidate will have the following criteria:
Previous territory field sales, account management or merchandising experience, working within the consumer retail and durable mass merchant channels is advantageous
Good knowledge of the consumer electrical or mass retail trade market in Australia
Be self-motivated with a high level of organisation and self-motivation to achieve commercial targets
Capacity to work independently in a remote working environment
Strong passion to train, build and grow the Nespresso portioned coffee category in trade
Ability to build rapport whilst persuasively being able to influence others
An eye for detail and a flair for merchandising
Be passionate and a deep interest in the coffee category
This role will be Brisbane based, also covering stores in QLD metro and regional areas so travel will be required from time to time.
