Reporting directly to the Head of Pet Specialty you will be responsible for defining & leading the long term Vet & Professional business strategy and objectives contributing to the overall NPPA ambitions.

Position Summary

Set Vet channel direction - Create NPPA Vet strategy including initiatives to deliver the short and long term ambition and objectives.
To represent the Vet Channel needs and priorities within the overall NPPA & NPPAOA organisation in order to gain cross functional support and resource allocation.
Accountable for delivery of the total Vet P&L through appropriate use of expenditure (Marketing, Trade & resource funds) to deliver short and long terms objectives.
Ensure achievement of agreed Customer(s) targets/KPIs (Sales, Volume, Trade expenditure, margin contribution, resource allocation, Forecast accuracy etc.).
Align Vet Channel strategies with Marketing (Including Pro Plan Vet Diets, Pro Plan, Purina Institute, Purina corporate), MDO, Supply Chain, Finance and the Specialist Leadership team.
Deliver the Vet Brand strategy (PPVD) including supporting Marketing with Regional team alignment
Collaborate with peers across AOA and Global to share best practice and learnings, liaise with Marketing, MDO, Field Sales and Supply Chain to drive Customer related initiatives
Responsible to lead relationships with external strategic veterinary alliances and partners
Ensure development of careers, succession plans, development and coaching of direct reports

You possess strong commercial insight and strategic sales experience within a FMCG environment and have a proven capacity to effectively deliver results while exceed expectations. You will be a natural collaborator with a strong proactive mind-set and be able to influence those around you to drive channel growth.

You will possess excellent presentation and strong communication skills as well as the ability to adapt your approach to achieve beneficial commercial outcomes. Your conviction will set you apart as will your passion for sales and resilience to work within a fast-paced agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years’ experience within a Sales or commercial role, ideally within FCMG and particularly within the Veterinary &/or Pet Specialist environment.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
