Insurance Analyst / Complaints Specialist

The purpose of this position is to provide key subject matter expertise in the areas of insurance claims and underwriting within the superannuation administration environment
The Insurance Analyst will drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives to improve the strength of controls and efficiency in insurance related processes
Manage and resolve complaints through providing compliant and quality responses

We will count on you to:
Resolve insurance related complaints by completing investigative work and formulating high quality responses to complainants
Provide technical guidance to complaints case managers on insurance related matters
Provide insurance claims and underwriting process and operational guidance/support to incidents and complaints management teams
Provide technical expertise on insurance compliance and legislative requirements including ICOP, PMIF an PYS
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, with key activities including feasibility analysis / business case preparation, process mapping and optimiation, client problem solving and codification of knowledge on Confluence
Facilitate workshops across cross-functional teams
Analyse and resolve incidents by contributing to remediation activities and providing input to design and development of preventative measures
Analyse data to perform root cause analysis, synthesise findings and present insights
Identify requirements for system enhancements
What you need to have:
Minimum 5 years working experience in a financial services organisation
Experience working with Insurance products and processes
Experience in compliance / complaints management
Knowledge of the superannuation and insurance legislative framework
High computer literacy skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail with an ability to understand complex issues and explain these to others in simple language
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases / initiatives
What makes you stand out:
RG146 qualifications preferred
Some retail and/or Group insurance product knowledge preferred
Exposure to Superannuation products and processes desirable
Preferred experience with Sonata and Salesforce
