SENIOR MANAGER, IT PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Mercer’s Delegated Solutions business segment is one of the fastest growing segments at the firm covering the globe with investment management solutions. You will be on the front line working with the business leaders to identify, design, develop and implement these game changing solutions. You will make a direct contribution implementing an enhanced data and technology-operating model supporting the growth and increasing scale of the business.
This position is for a seasoned professional Information Technology leader with experience in the funds industry who can work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will develop product solutions to support the business and ensure a stable, reliable and efficient production environment. They will create tools to support additional business efficiencies in data quality, production and resources and, concurrently, will reduce total cost of ownership of our technology applications.
The Technology Delivery Team is responsible for Business/Technology transformation, design and implementation of new and existing technology oriented solutions for business processes. They engage with internal and external stakeholders across the business to identify solutions, document technical requirements, and manage the delivery of those solutions. They also ensure technology and change initiatives are delivered in a low risk environment while taking ownership of key technologies within the business. The team is continuously across technology change and trends in the market specifically for the Delegated Solutions business as well as the regulatory environment impact on technology within which the overall business operations.
We will count on you to:
Establish strong partnerships with business product leaders and work closely with them to define an overall development and implementation strategy for the suite of applications used by the operations team.
Assist and support product design
Drive applications development in support of best practice data management and production processes.
Identify new technologies and integrate into existing solutions to expand capabilities to differentiate Mercer from competitors.
Consult with Business product leaders to develop and communicate technology roadmaps.
Direct the identification of gaps between current-state technology architecture and reference (target) architecture.
Design and build solutions to integrate systems in use
What you need to have:
Technology or business graduate with at least 10-15 years’ relevant and progressive experience in the Investment Funds Industry.
Broad IT skills and experience in delivery of technology projects
Significant experience and knowledge of Portfolio Management and Enterprise Data Management Systems. Experience in Charles River IMS and/or Eagle Investment Systems would be advantageous
Knowledge of third party reporting and business intelligence tool, such as Qlik Sense, Crystal Reports or equivalent would be advantageous.
Understanding and experience of Database Management Systems
Proficiency in standard MS Office suite of products in addition to Project and Visio
Understanding and experience in ETL routines.
