What can you expect?
Maintain client portfolio and all aspects of client relationships/service, including insurer and reinsurer client contact, administration, technical support and business development.
Ensure that accurate, efficient and timely production of all client, insurer, reinsurer and policy related needs and assist Senior Account Executive/Principal as required

In this role you will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain effective client, insurer and reinsurer relationships by understanding their needs and pro-actively responding to these needs
Implement renewal and broking strategies based on insurer client needs as required
Liaise with the Claims team to ensure that clients’ interests are protected and claims are settled in a timely matter
Develop and maintain sound working relationships with insurers and reinsurers and assist with negotiations
Maintain outstanding renewals, credit control and other necessary reporting over client portfolio
Recognise new business opportunity and act as appropriate on them in a timely manner
Adhere strictly to the Company's policies, Quality practices and other systems and procedures.
Comply fully with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance policy.
Liaise with MCO to ensure timely and accurate document production, reporting and processing of (including but not limited to):
invoices and related policy accounting documentation;
quotation and reinsurance placing slips
information and documentation for Pre-Renewal and Broking meetings;
client letters, draft renewal reports as required;
maintain up to date client records and files including the broking systems;
collect information and follow up documentation
assist with claim lodgement and follow up
all other documentation.
Mentor and assist with development of Assistant Account Executives
Other duties as may be required from time to time.
Knowledge & Technical
Acquire and maintain an awareness of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs
Maintain technical knowledge, including all major classes of insurance, required to support the clients and business needs
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Emergency Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker’s Compensation and other relevant legislation
We would like you to have:
Minimum 3 years’ general insurance broking experience
Clear and effective communication skills
Ability to work autonomously within a multi skilled team
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and good time management skills.
Excellent client service ability – to be able to anticipate insurer client needs and exceed them
Motivated self-starter focussed on achieving results
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to recognise and solve problems and think outside the square
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
Sound business administration skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite and demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
