Insurance Due Diligence Advisor
What can you expect?
Our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) practice draws from Marsh’s in-depth global knowledge to deliver specialist services to the private equity, infrastructure, and alternative asset industry as well as to corporate buyers. We work with clients over the lifecycle of their investments, advising on risks and insurance matters from acquisition to exit, including placing portfolio level insurance solutions. Our global practice consists of more than 150 professionals worldwide.
In this position, you will be responsible for driving Marsh’s PEMA business within Marsh and externally. This will be done by providing high quality due diligence work to private equity, corporate, and financial institution clients, and co-ordinating the services of various Marsh practices to bring the best of Marsh to our clients.
You will utilise your insurance expertise to advise clients contemplating acquisitions, divestments and project financing activities.

We will count on you to:
Contribute to the growth of the Marsh brand within the Australian and New Zealand market
Project manage the preparation and delivery of due diligence reports
Co-ordinate services provided by other practices within Marsh
Act as a liaison to overseas PEMA professionals across the globe
Act as the primary service contact for PEMA clients
Develop and nurture relationships with private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions with an aim of leveraging these into future business opportunities
Actively communicate internally to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions
Liaise with internal Marsh practices to implement insurance placements
What you need to have:
Prior background in insurance broking or underwriting
Strong industry experience in general insurance or financial lines
FSRA Tier 1 compliance, or prompt completion upon employment
Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Law, Economics or related field preferred, but not essential
