We will count on you to:
Work with senior broking personnel to gain an understanding of clients’ business, risk management and insurance needs, as well as developing an understanding of the construction industry and contracting practices.
Assist with the implementation of renewal and broking strategies in accordance with instructions received from the senior client representative, including negotiations with Insurers.
Analyse claims data, produce reports, and assist with claims management and negotiations.
Ensure the timely and accurate production of invoices, quotation/placing slips, premium calculations, reports, manuals, policy documentation and endorsements.
Ensure that accurate up to date client records are maintained.
Address day to day client queries and participate in client personnel training sessions.
Manage follow-up on coverage changes with underwriters to ensure the coverage specifications are correct
Builds and maintains client and market contact at appropriate levels to execute effectively on client’s program
Contributes to the firm’s body of knowledge through active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions
Contributes to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service
What you need to have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a broking, underwriting or legal environment, preferably involved with the construction industry.
Relevant Broking qualifications (Tier 1 Compliance) and related studies are desired.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong knowledge and application of broking principles, client reports/proposals and renewals
Highly motivated, with a client, service and solutions mindset
