Our Ward Clerks are responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical functions as directed by the Nurse Manager. Your goal will be to promote and maintain good customer relations with patients, visitors, and other hospital staff. A unique experience of working across a wide range of general and specialty areas. These include: Vaccine Clinic, oncology, trauma, infectious diseases, respiratory, renal, neurology, emergency, cardiology, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery and burns
You will have outstanding interpersonal and customer relation skills to communicate with members of the public and a variety of health professionals.
We are looking for individuals who are available to work Monday-Sunday for either morning or afternoon shifts throughout the Alfred and Sandringham Hospital.
Proven experience with telephones, reception, clerical and good computer skills are a must.
Knowledge of medical terminology or previous work experience in a Hospital environment would be an advantage.
An ability to be organised, efficient and proactive in a busy ward environment would be an asset in the role.
