About this opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager Corporate Responsibility to join our Melbourne based Brand team on a 12 month parental leave contract. This position will focus on building community and social stakeholder engagement through strong advocacy designed to support Aware Super in reaching its goals while building its brand. In addition, the role will be responsible for:
Leading Corporate Responsibility initiatives relating to carbon accounting, responsible supply chain and Sustainable Development Goals;
Leading Aware Super’s Integrated Report;
Overseeing all Corporate Responsibility Communications; and
Supporting Corporate Responsibility Leadership initiatives.
How do you exceed our expectations?
You will be a highly organised forward-thinker, with demonstrated experience in applying corporate responsibility principles to build an organisation’s brand and reputation. In addition, you will also have:
Tertiary qualification (degree) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, Marketing);
At minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate Responsibility or sustainability fields;
Proven experience in annual report writing consistent with best practice Integrated Reporting;
Demonstrated ability to understand corporate commercial objectives and align the role that Corporate Responsibility plays to help achieve business goals;
Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders to positively influence outcomes;
Demonstrated understanding of complex environmental and social issues and the relevant international frameworks and standards;
In-depth understanding of climate change and the relevant frameworks; and
Demonstrated excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to develop strong relationships.
