About this opportunity
Reporting to the Network Engineer Lead, the Network Engineer’s primary focus will be to support and develop Aware Super’s enterprise wide network. This includes the data centre network, head office, wide area network, regional locations, telephony, firewalls, security, wireless, internet and Cloud. This role will be responsible for planning, procurement, designing, developing, configuring and commissioning networks and associated systems for network monitoring and incident management.

How do you exceed our expectations?
You are an experienced, results oriented Senior Network Engineer or a Senior Network Administrator with great problem-solving skills. You have a strong understanding of network administration and architecture with the ability to multitask and prioritise. You are a solution focussed team player with a demonstrated ability to continuously improve processes and contribute positively to the Technology team and our organisation.

You will also have:

Experience working in a highly regulated environment, e.g. financial services (preferred);
Extensive experience with Cisco ISE including 802.1x - (essential);
Extensive experience with Cisco WLCs - (essential);
Extensive experience with Palo Alto/Checkpoint Firewalls and Remote Access - (essential);
Extensive experience with Cisco Routing and Switching - (essential);
Extensive experience with wireless technologies – (essential);
Understanding of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) – (desirable);
Understanding of Cisco DNA Centre – (desirable);
Knowledge of F5 Big-IP Load Balancer (LTM) – (desirable);
Experience in Data Centre consolidation – (desirable);
Familiarity with Cloud networking concepts and deployments (primarily Azure);
Strong communication both verbal and written with the ability to interpret customer business needs and translate into application and operational requirements;
Strong documentation writing skills; and
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and manage expectations.
